Pastor’s Greeting Winter 2019

Happy New Year!

I pray everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  As we begin the last year of this decade, we must look forward to new and exciting experiences.

Over the past ten years, we have had a steady program of classes and workshops to keep us attuned and enlightened with Spirit.  We are now looking forward to a new twist in classes and offerings to keep up with the demand from established and new mediums.

A three-week course on a topic will be offered.  The first week will be instruction from a qualified teacher.  The following two weeks will be practice and implementation of the information, with myself or another member of the Pastoral Assistant’s Group in the lead.  This will enable us to offer more instructors and exciting topics that you might request.  Let me hear your ideas.

Morris Pratt classes will continue in the library, once monthly.  Everyone is welcome, no matter your lesson progress.  We discuss chapters, help with essays and hard to find information.  If you would like to join us, there is no charge, but donations are always welcome. Space is limited though, so check the calendar for the dates!

Platform Decorum refresher course will be offered for all members.  Every member to serve from the podium is asked to take the refresher course.  This will NOT be the same course as the original session.  This course will be to bring everyone up to speed on any new changes and to bring to the attention of everyone, problems that have creeped up and need attention.  I hope to make this entertaining and interactive.  There is no charge but donations are always welcome.

Social Gatherings; David Wilson and Judy Mullins have created some wonderful adventures for us over the past six months.  Please send your thanks and offer any suggestions to us for many more special times together.

For the future; information on creating a Lyceum is being gathered.  Having children a part of our church is something we have been discussing for a long time.  There is no time like the present to put some research into what is needed to get this up and running.  Your prayers are requested for a successful outcome.

Thank you all for your support and continued willingness to serve our church.  All of us working together for the common good of our congregation will build the energy and love.  We can’t do it without you, please join in.

May the Light and Love of Spirit be with you!
